Hi,
Does anyone know why my TOC plugin generates messy TOCs out of a sudden (with spaces between the headlines without me being able to adjust any of that)? I use the simple TOC plugin. My current theme is Total and I use WordPress. I do not use any page builders. I tried to delete the blank spaces, but it won’t let me. It deletes the entire table instead.

The plugin worked perfectly fine before. If anyone is experiencing the same, I would be interested to hear how you fixed it. I cannot provide a link as the messy TOC is not on my live site, but I do have a screenshot I can share with you. I provided a link to the Facebook group I posted my query to. Not sure you can see it though. I don’t seem to figure out how to upload a picture here.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your swift reply. I have temporarily created a TOC using the plugin and it’s now available on the website so you can have a look at it. Please let me know what I can do to remove the blank spaces. The plugin creates big blank spaces in other blog posts while some others are fine.

And try to use a different page. Is it aproblem with some special content? Do all SimpleTOCs look wierd?

Hi Marc,

I have already sent links where you can see TOCs created with the plugin. The second link looks fine, the first one has extra spaces in between the headlines which I cannot remove. I have no idea how to adjust that or why out of a sudden the plugin creates TOCs this way.

You have multiple JavaScript errors on your page from other plugins. Example: “Uncaught TypeError: window.ezorqs is not a function”

Please deactivate all other plugins and see if this fixed your problem. I doubt that SimpleTOC is the cause of the problem, since there was no update.
