Update check for some plugins doesn’t work

Do you have any plugin that controls updates for you? You can also deactivate all plugins as a test to see if it works then.

Tip for the test: go to Updates and click on “Check again”. This will force updates to be retrieved.

I have debugged the code and found that update check api returns nothing for those plugins.

I get the correct version number for the 1st plugin.

If you don’t receive any answer there, I would ask whether your request has reached the API at all. Is there a firewall in the way?

It is POST request to url https://api.www.ads-software.com/plugins/update-check/1.1/ made by wp_update_plugins function.

I have also tried to recreate this. I also receive the current versions with this call.

Please check if you are using any cache between your WordPress and the public network. A proxy could also be a reason for this.

I found the source of problem. There was custom plugin blocking some updates.
