I have problem to set year in the expiration time using the classic editor.

When I create a new post, everything is okay at times. Other times, the year is randomly set to, for example, 0567. It’s randomized…

This screen is in Polish language, but it appears the same in any other languages.

I saw a similar problem in the topic ‘Setting Year No Longer Works’ opened by @semrocc.

    WordPress ver. : 6.3
    PublishPress Future ver. : 3.1.1

I have the same issue. For posts that were published between Oct 30th and Nov 2d, the Year menu is completely random. We had to deactivate de Future function in those posts.

@ycdevs & @gelgen Could you please try using the English language on your site? We’ve encountered similar issues in the past, and language was identified as the cause.

We would like to investigate if this is the same issue as before.

We tried, but it didn’t work. We even changed the language of the entire WordPress to English, but the problem still persists.

@ycdevs Can you do basic troubleshooting like deactivate all plugins except PublishPress Future and change to default theme?

@rizaardiyanto I have two websites that use this plugin, both in English. They have both been running for about a year without issues. I am now having this exact same issue as mentioned above. When selecting the year from the dropdown, the options provided are nowhere near close (ex: 625, 626, 627, etc.).

    Hi @jenniferklibby

Thanks for the information. Can you let me know if this happens only in Classic Editor or in Block Editor as well?

And can you confirm you are using the latest version 3.1.3?

@ycdevs,?@gelgen, & @jenniferklibby Could you please also share your setting about the default date expiration?

I am using WordPress (6.4.1) and PublishPress Future (3.1.3) with the Classic editor. I have the timezone set to “New York” under WP settings. PublishPress Future settings are: Date Format (l F jS, Y), Time Format (g:ia), Default Date/Time Offset (+1 week).

@rizaardiyanto – We have deactivated all plugins and temporarily switched to the default theme (Twenty Twenty-Four, Twenty Twenty-Three). Unfortunately, the issue persists.

We updated all plugins and now we got:
    WordPress: v. 6.4.1
    PublishPress Future: v. 3.1.3

    Timezone: Warsaw (in WP settings)
    PublishPress Future settings:
    Date Format (l F jS, Y),
    Time Format (g:ia),
Default Date/Time Offset (+1 month) (in custom post types too)

@ycdevs , Do you mind sharing some screenshot on “Post Types” as well?

@rizaardiyanto – The view is the same as yours, only in the field “Default Date/Time Offset” there is +1 month. Nothing special.

@rizaardiyanto I uploaded and activated the updated plugin package you provided and that seems to have fixed the issue. It does not work on any posts I had previously added while experiencing the issue (those still load a weird dropdown for the year), but it works for any new posts. Thankfully, I only had a couple that I had previously published, so I was able to just add them again. Thank you for looking into this issue!

@jenniferklibby Thanks for letting us know. For the existing post, can you try set future action via quick edit first > Save > Then try to edit the post. Observe if the issue still persists.
