GD version

    In my backend I have the following red light for the GD version, why is it red please ?

    Hi,

    That means the GD version doesn’t support AVIF format. but no worries, Imagick version supports it. Imagick gives better results anyway.

    i have the same exact issue,since sub-sizes are not generated.

    PHP Version – 7.4.33

    GD Version – 2.3.3

    ImageMagick Version – 7.1.0

    AVIF Support – Supported

    Hi @shanthambi,

    For GD, It’s not about the version, The GD lib has to be compiled with AVIF support. upgrading PHP version to 8.1 should be enough to get GD with AVIF support.

    The Imagick version you have seems supporting AVIF. if no sub-sizes generated, maybe the image is smaller than the registered sub-sizes you have on your site
