I manage multiple sites, and I use Page Builder for them all. Since the last WP update 6.4, NONE of the pages using PageBuilder will display in the backend. AT ALL.

    I get the error

“This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed. And the page is blank.”

HELP!!!! This can’t be happening. I manage something like 30 sites, which are all un-editable at this moment.

    The developer form says “

“The issue pages have been created in the Block Editor within a SiteOrigin Layout Block. We’re working through a WP 6.4 issue relating to the SiteOrigin Layout Block. An update will be released ASAP. As soon as the Layout Block is resolved, you can migrate the above pages back to the classic format by opening the Layout Block, clicking LayoutsImport/ExportDownload Layout. Then using the Classic Editor plugin to open the page, clear the page contents, click on the Page Builder tab, and import the JSON layout file via LayoutsImport/ExportImport Layout in Page Builder.”

I am not at all happy to have to do this all again. I just did this json method a while back in order to get 30 sites I manage compatible with blocks, and to maintain the page builder layout. It took me a long time as all sites have a dozen pages or more. I can’t believe I have to do this all again. Will migrating back to classic preserve the layout?

No action is required. The above reply is not at all applicable for your thread. The reply quoted above is very specific to what that user asked. The issue is being worked on. An update will follow later today. Apologies for the hassle.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay. I’ve come up with a fix for this issue and you can download a patched version of SiteOrigin Page Builder by clicking here.

    Before proceeding, do a backup.

Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins and deactivate Page Builder by SiteOrigin and then delete it. Scroll to the top of the page and click Add New, Upload New. Upload siteorigin-panels.2.27.1-beta.zip. When prompted, activate it. You should now be able to access the SiteOrigin Layouts Block without issue now.

Yes, I did one site out of 30 and it is working fine. Thank you very much. What will be the new version number when it is issued? Will this override the patch? I see that WP 6.4.1 has just come out today, but they haven’t fixed this for you I see.

I really like this plug in. Please don’t drop the classic editor. It saves my sanity, as it contains features that blocks left out.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

It’s great to hear that helped! ??
The provided changes were included in the 2.27.1. Please update Page Builder by SiteOrigin, and this issue will be resolved on the rest of your sites.

We have no plans to drop the Classic Editor at this time.

    Kind regards,
    Alex
