    Good morning
Since installing Tooltip 9.2.3, with WordPress 6.4.1-it_IT, the plugin continuously generates errors of the type:
Warning: preg_replace(): Unknown modifier ‘O’ in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-tooltips/tooltips.php on line 1417
Warning: preg_replace(): Unknown modifier ‘c’ in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-tooltips/tooltips.php on line 1417
Warning: preg_replace(): Unknown modifier ‘C’ in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-tooltips/tooltips.php on line 1417
    ….
And the content of each post is no longer visible on the site. To make it appear again, I need to set on the plugin: “Disable tooltip in entire site”
    What could it depend on?
    Thank you

    Hello

To find the cause of the malfunction (the content of the posts disappeared by enabling the tooltips) since your last update served to correct a malfunction caused by a special character in the text, which seems to me to be the “+” character, I did a test.
I exported the tooltips from the environment where I had the malfunction, to one where there were different tooltips and the display problem did not arise.
After exporting, by enabling tooltips, the posts were no longer seen even in the second environment.
This in my opinion indicates that there is a problem with characters in the tooltip text.

    Same problem here.
( and ) and : in the Tooltips-Title seems to be okay.
I have no + in the titles.

I have the same issue. With the plugin activated, no content shows up on my site. When I disable the plugin, the content comes back. Going back to 9.1.7 version solved my issue.

After checking line 1417 in tooltips.php I did a test in one of my wordpress-installations.
In this test I identified the / (slash) in the tt-title as the (or maybe one of the) problem-character(s)

    Line 1417:
    $content = preg_replace("/"."(".$m_singlekeyword_search.")(?![^@@@@]*[%%%%])/s",'@@@@'.$tooltip_unique_id.'%%%%'."\2",$content); //!!!new

    Hi all the bosses,

Thank you so much for the bug report ??

We just released the version 9.2.9 to solve the problem ??

Sorry for the problem, it stems from a deeply hidden and severe bug: if tooltip keyword contains the php regular expression metacharacters: “‘/”, it will disrupt the operation of the regular expression and return no content. In new version 9.2.9, we fixed this bug, and then we tested all 21 php regular expression metacharacters to ensure this kind of problem will not happen again ??

Thanks for the great bug report, and sorry for the delay of the solution(we did many tests to find the reason, and just solve all problems, it isour 05:38am and we’ve been working through the night to solve the problem, sorry), we will provide a pro plugin as a token of appreciation to everyone who reports the bug, and offer another pro plugin as an apology ??

Dear @fezak, @tacaha5, @wpdanilo, Would you please create a ticket via tooltips.org/contact-us/ to give us the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude ??

Thanks, have a blessed weekend with your family ??
