Checkbox and Radio have different functions

Hello. I’m attempting to use this plugin to sort categories for only our legacy tools. The sort works well using checkboxes, however, when multiple checkboxes are selected, the result is always “..no products match..” When I enable radio buttons (one selection at a time) I get completely different results. Is the difference between checkbox and radio button intended? Is it possible to have the radio buttons function like the checkbox results?
