Page size not matching screen size

I wasn’t able to reproduce your issue, the Cover and Group blocks work fine for me both inside and outside a general Group block, using different size settings.

Is it possible for you to share some screenshots with the blocks and settings that are used? Also, a link to your website would be helpful to better debug this issue.

Thank you for your time taking a look at this issue!

Below are links to screenshots with the blocks and settings used :
– The first one shows the issue I am encountering, a block with a wide-colored background, that generates a page wider than screen size, on the right. On mobile version it also makes the header smaller when scrolling.
Changing the “Inner blocks use content width” parameter does not change anything.

– On the second one is my “fixing”, putting the general group into another group fixes the page wider than screen size issue, but does not allow blocks with page-wide backgrounds.

In the current version of my website (https://effiscientifig.com/), I left the homepage with the bug because it is really less elegant without the wide cover, and also left the Gallery page with a wider page like in the first screenshot.

I checked on your website and I saw that if i disable the wp-site-blocks CSS class, the page won’t be horizontal scrollable anymore, as you can see in this video https://vertis.d.pr/v/J0xJTw. I think some layout changes have been made in your templates that caused this.

Again I didn’t manage to replicate the issue on my end. You can try to isolate the issue by deleting the page sections one by one and see if one of them is causing it (don’t forget to keep a copy of the page).

Your insights helped me a whole lot. I managed to fix my issue notably by changing some parameters of my general Content block in templates, and then ungrouping/regrouping blocks with colored backgrounds. Somehow the issue remains when there is a group with a colored background in the header or the footer, but not when the background of these groups is a background image or is colored through additional CSS classes, so getting around it is an easy fix.
