Automatically block all humans/bots that attempt to access a banned url?

  • I get humans/bots in my ‘Live Traffic’ page and was wondering if it was possible to just automatically block the IPs.

    Hi @cpkid1, thanks for your question.

    Yes, there is an option in Wordfence > All Options > Immediately block IPs that access these URLs. You can use a specific path like /thispath or wildcards where /*readme.txt would block any path inside plugin folders etc. that might end with that filename.

    Just note that visiting the paths in a browser yourself will also result in a block, so I normally test on a mobile device using data rather than connected via the same network I’d attach my PC to.
