• Relative to loybanks.com – I just changed Themes from free one to theme I purchased that I really like – style, setup, etc.

    In the process of changing over I now have a link or something such hanging around that I can’t find or locate.

    If you go to the web site. Then to “Software” or “Contact Us” Categories you’ll see a link there. Generally several from chitika or some other name. Then on the “Political” Category there is an Edit link that leads back to my Admin Page. That’s no good!

    I’ve deactivated most all of my plugins thinking I might find the culprit, but so far a big zero, zip, nada!

    I’m really needing some help here. I hope it’s possible. If there is anything more I should do, just let me know, along with how to go about it. Thanks so much.

    The edit link is only be shown if you are logged on with appropriate rights. Log off from your admin backend & have another look at the front end which your visitors will see, you’ll find its no longer there.

    Then on the “Political” Category there is an Edit link that leads back to my Admin Page. That’s no good!

    Only logged in user would see that, but that link is usually rendered via the template tag, edit_post_link:
    For example:

    <?php edit_post_link('Edit', '', ' | '); ?>

    Note: Use Template Hierarchy to determine what template (e.g. category php) your theme uses to display those posts with the edit link.

    [ oops, cubecolour got there first ]

    Well I believe I found the culprit with the ads popping up on pages. Somehow in the Theme Change to item for allowing pingbacks and trackbacks. When I unchecked this item the ads DID go away.

    As for the EDIT item I don’t believe I’ve solved that one yet even with your instructions. Even after I log out of Admin the Edit is still there. So looks like I’ll have to do some more searching.

    If you have any additional thoughts or ideas please let me know. Thanks.

    I don’t see the Edit link, at least on political/the-united-states-declaration-of-independence/
