    Sorry about the stupid question, I’m a totally newbie in wordpress and non-technique person, my website is design studio type( no publish yet), so in WordPress Portfolio section, usually when add any project( not the portfolio showcase, but the single each project details post), we will add: “click left Portfolio—add new” right?
    But my current problem is:
    I used a my custom-designed template for the project post template, but after I edited the project( please see the attached screenshots), nothing changed, I mean the project post page still the same as the initial template but not my modified final post page, the changes here don’t work for the template used, or does the template just overwriting the updated content? why did this happen? How to solve this?

  • You have to assign the custom template to the page. Name the custom template like page-{page-slug}. Get the page slug from the page settings.

    Be aware that caching, both browser and server side, can confuse your efforts at seeing what effect your edits had. Clear any caches involved before looking further for the cause of any perceived problems.
