Critical issue in version 2.7.6 when used with S3 Uploads plugin

    We are having a severe issue with the latest released version (2.7.6) when used along a cloud storage plugin (in our case, we use S3-Uploads plugin). The result is the site becomes unresponsive.

    The issue seems to have been introduced in #216.

    From a quick look, the issues seems to be that the external S3 URL is returned here, and thus the replacement done here will never work.

    This apparently causes the site to keep creating new image sizes forever.

    It would be awesome if you could have a look at this, because we are unable to update the plugin in many of our sites.

    Thanks for the report (both here and on GitHub). The code changes that introduced this problem have been reverted in the last release (2.7.7) which went out today.
