No ability to do anything in the Editor function

  • I’ve set up a new site through Bluehost with editing in WP, I can get to the dashboard and everything looks fine from what I can tell (I’m a relative newbie), but once I select a theme I can’t customise it, in the editor screen there’s just a loading bar that doesn’t go anywhere in the middle of a blank page. It’s the same regardless of the theme I select so I don’t think it’s an issue with the specific themes.

    Any ideas? I have another website through Bluehost/WP and didn’t have this issue then.

    If this is a new site and you have no plugins active, have you contacted BlueHost support to ask if any hosting configuration is not correct. I see this message when I try to view your sample page:

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Thanks Lisa, I’ll try Bluehost. There were issues getting it set up, had to go back and forth with them quite a bit, so it’s quite possible that something’s not right there.
