    Hi Matthias,

This is already handled server-side; if the WebP file is considerably larger, it won’t be generated.

Can you please restore the image from backup, reoptimize it and let me know how it works?

    Thank you!

Thank you for your quick response!

A new optimization creates a smaller image than before, so I cannot test it properly. However, I will monitor it if it occurs again. ??

    Hello Matthias,

Out of curiosity, can you please tell us when was the image you gave as an example optimized? You can see this by entering the image edit screen (by clicking on it from the Media Library) and in the ShortPixel box, you should have the date when it was optimized and converted to WebP.

Indeed we didn’t have this functionality from the very beginning, so I just want to ensure there isn’t something else going on here ??

    Thank you!

The first generation was on November 30th, 2021.
