• This plugin creates a post in its own post type at example.com/wds-slider/preview/.

This page is published, accessible to the public, and has been added to my site’s XML sitemap by The SEO Framework.

There doesn’t seem to be a method to delete this page, prevent its creation, or change its status to Draft. I consider this to be a bug. How can I remove this public-facing page?

The function get_slide_preview_post() is where the post is created.

  • Howdy!

As a temporary workaround, you can exclude the slider at “SEO Settings > General Settings > Exclusions.” This setting will remove those from the sitemap.

If the post type is publicly queryable, you may want to apply “noindex” instead of excluding it at “SEO Settings > Robots Meta Settings > Indexing.” “noindex” will purge the slider previews from search engines.

Excluding the post type after applying “noindex” will not work since excluding disables “noindex” as well.

Thanks for the quick reply. That’s not an answer to the question, “How to unpublish page at /wds-slider/preview/?” but helpful for people running both plugins.

This plugin creates a garbage page on every site its installed:
