Contact Form 7 – Non-functional using IIS

  • Just wanted to point out that I tested this plugin using a copy of WordPress installed in a GoDaddy “Windows” hosting environment which one assumes using the IIS PHP environment and it doesn’t work.

    I attempted to install WP-Mail-SMTP to fix this issue, but it didn’t have any affect and resulted in the following error:
    “SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
    (10060)”

    Consequently, I tried the same form on a GoDaddy PHP (Linux) hosting environment and the plug-in works fine.

    Please keep this in mind so your not as confused thinking it was your SMTP provider as I was.
