Deal is not added to the order

We have been using this plugin for quite some time now, and it has proven to be incredibly useful. However, for the past week, we have been experiencing an issue: when the client takes a deal, the product is added to the cart, but after confirming the purchase and moving to the payment page, the product is removed from the cart. Fortunately, this means that the client isn’t charged for it, but we lose the opportunity to sell the promoted product.
Could this be related to a configuration setting?
