Wordfence is being deleted

    Twice in the last week, Wordfence has been removed from my site.

    I reinstall it, then scan, it it tells me the index.php file has been changed.

    Nothing added to it , but some things are removed.

    Can you help me stop this from happening please.

    Hi @hills-web-design, thanks for getting in touch.

    Wordfence doesn’t remove itself without your involvement under usual circumstances, so the two most likely explanations are your host is removing it on a schedule or your site has malware that could be doing it.

    It could be worth checking with your host if the former is the case, then considering if the index.php changes could be related to something else. If your host confirms that they don’t alter the plugins installed on your site, feel free to share the details of which lines are added/removed from index.php
