Not Replacing – Uploads file name with -1 at the end

  • Hi Team,

    I’ve tried this plugin several times over the last year or so and it never replaces the image. I am uploading the exact same size image, the exact image but without my logo on the photo. I am using the exact same image name. Yet, it uploads a second photo and adds a number to the end of the image url. It’s acting just like I am adding a new image. The image gets a new url and the old photo is still in the library. This is NOT a caching issue. It literally creates a new image url every time.
    Any ideas?

    • Screenshots?or a?screen recording showing the issue in action. If possible, please include?relevant links?as well.
    • Your site information. Please?navigate to?Tools?>?Site Health?>?Info,?click on the?“Copy site info to clipboard”?button and paste the information in your reply.
    • Finally, is the issue occurring in more than one web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc.)?

    Thanks for the information.
    I’ll first start with trying it in a different browser (which seems odd, I don’t understand how the browser affects a photo upload into WordPress) – but I’ll try it!! …..Never know!

    If that doesn’t solve it, I’ll do a screen capture, etc… for you.
