    Hi,

Is your plugin supposed to install the Conversions API on my website?

How can I verify if the Conversions API is correctly installed?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi @fotske,

Yes, the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin does indeed install the Conversions API on your website.

Here are the steps to implement the conversions API:

    1. Navigate to the Plugins menu, click?Add New, and locate the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin. Install the plugin, then click?Activate.?
    2. Go to Marketing → Facebook and click Get Started
    3. Click Continue and confirm your settings.
    4. Authorize your WooCommerce integration with Facebook by selecting Manage your business
    5. And you’re done! Congratulations, you’ve updated your Facebook for WooCommerce integration and now enjoy all the benefits of Conversions API.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi,

The Facebook for WooCommerce plugin?is already installed on my website. So should I uninstall it and download the plugin again?

For the moment, I tried to go to Connexion then “Manage connexion” and then try to reconnect the WooCommerce integration to Facebook but it doesn’t seem to work. I still don’t see the Conversions API in the Facebook event manager.

At a certain point, the system asks “Enter your WooCommerce store URL to connect”. Is this the URL of my website like https://www.mywebsite.com? Or is it the URL of my shop like https://www.mywebsite.com/shop?

I tried with https://www.mywebsite.com but I don’t see any difference.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello @fotske,

The Facebook conversion API is integrated automatically once you connect your account, no additional setting is required from you. :?)

To test the events, you can use the following browser extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/meta-pixel-helper/fdgfkebogiimcoedlicjlajpkdmockpc?pli=1

    Hi,

When I test my website with your extension, I only see the Meta Pixel, I don’t see any mention of “Conversions API”. How can I check is Conversions API is installed and works?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi @fotske,

The Meta Pixel Helper extension should show events coming from both the Pixel and the Conversions API. If you’re only seeing the Pixel, it’s possible that the Conversions API isn’t sending events.

I recommend double-checking your setup and ensuring that your WooCommerce integration with Facebook is authorized. If you’re still having issues, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

    Hi,

I disconnected Facebook for WooCommerce and then made the connexion again with all the wizard. However I don’t see any difference and I don’t see new events in the Meta Pixel Helper extension. For example, for a product page, I see :

    • Meta Pixel
    • PageView
    • ViewContent
    • ViewContent

But I think that all those events are coming from the Pixel. I don’t see anything from the Conversions API.

Could you please send a screenshot of what I should see if the Conversions API was working?

Also, when I check my Pixel in the Facebook Event Manager, I only see “1 active integration” which is the Meta Pixel. I don’t see the Conversions API.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello @fotske,

The Conversions API is configured via Meta pixel, please check the following guide from Meta for more information: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/2041148702652965?id=818859032317965

We’d be more than happy to help you test the events if you attach a copy of your system status. You can find it in WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please paste it here in your reply or via a text-sharing service like https://gist.github.com/.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hello,

I read your guide but I still don’t understand if the Conversions API is installed on my website or not and if I have to do something more than just connecting your plugin to my website to have the Conversions API…

You can find my system status here: https://gist.github.com/fvdbgit/2dba5a0dadfc682c51af2c833406182f

Could you please tell me exactly what I have to do?

    Thank you very much.

    Hey, @fotske!

    Thanks for sharing the report.

I see your WooCommerce version is not updated, can you please update it to the most current version and see if the issue persists?

If it does, can you please confirm if your Facebook account is correctly connected?

Can you please share a screenshot of the settings of the plugin? Please remove any sensitive information, if any.

I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to us. I chekaed the system status report you shared. It shows that you have the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin version 2.6.6 installed and connected to the Facebook account.

Once you have the plugin set up, you can check if the Conversions API is working by using the Facebook Event Manager tool. You can find more details on how to use this tool in this article.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi,

    I updated all my plugins.

I don’t understand how to check if the Conversions API is working or not.

I went to the Facebook Event Manager tool and I made the “test events” on the URL of my website and the result is “PageView” (see the screenshot here: https://snipboard.io/BDCTdZ.jpg)

I don’t understand if it’s linked to the Conversions API or not, I am not a developer and I don’t know what to do.

    Please help me.

    Hi there @fotske ??

I don’t understand how to check if the Conversions API is working or not.

The Facebook conversion API is integrated out of the box in the Facebook for WooCommerce extension. This means that once you set up the extension, the conversion API is automatically implemented and no additional setting is required from you. The data that flows through Conversions API and the Facebook Pixel is deduplicated based on a unique event ID, so there’s no concern about the same events being counted twice. Related documentation can be found linked here, for your convenience.

To verify that conversions are registered, feel free to learn more about the Meta Pixel’s?Standard Events?and?Custom Events.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

    Hi,

I still don’t think that the conversions API is installed on my website, even if the Facebook for WooCommerce extension is connected because when I go to my Facebook Event Manager I only see 1 active integration which is the Meta Pixel (see screenshot here: https://snipboard.io/bJg5kY.jpg), I don’t see an integration for the Conversion API.

    Hi there @fotske ??

You can use the Meta Pixel to track your website visitors’ actions also known as conversion tracking. Tracked conversions appear in the Facebook Ads Manager and the Facebook Events Manager, where they can be used to analyze the effectiveness of your conversion funnel and to calculate your return on ad investment.

Feel free to take a look at the document, linked here, for further details.

    I hope this is helpful!
