child theme inc/template-tags.php not working

    Hi there,

    I try to update some wordings in the theme and created a new folder and file inc/template-tags.php in the child theme folder. But it does not work, however if I update the wording directly in the mother theme inc/template-tags.php and it does work. Please advise, thank you for your help!

    We can’t overwrite function of child theme by create folder and file name same with parent theme.

    When you need overwrite function from main theme you can add this to file function.php of child theme or create theme file and include to file function.php.

    But i recommend you looking for a WordPress developer to get help for customize your website.
