    Hi,

I’m generally pleased with the recent redesign of the plugin, but I have an important question: Does the “Powered by Patchstack” vulnerable software checker feature now communicate directly with Patchstack servers, and does that communication transmit any personal data or potentially personally identifiable information to Patchstack directly? I’m trying to determine if this integration raises any privacy or GDPR concerns I need to be aware of.

    Thanks!

Hi @ate-up-with-motor, I’m glad you liked our redesign!

I’ve reached out to our development team regarding your questions, and rest assured, I’ll get back to you as soon as I get a response. Please note that the reply may take a while due to the ongoing holiday season.

    I appreciate your patience.

    Hi @ate-up-with-motor

We heard back from the development team on this, and nothing is transmitted to Patchstack’s servers from your site. Requests are sent only to Liquid Web (the parent company of SolidWP)’s servers. The information that is transmitted is the Site URL, Plugins, Themes, and WordPress version. No user information is transmitted at all.

Great, thanks for clarifying that for me!
