    Hello, I am facing a bug when using the countdown shortcode. [countdown] The text appears to be almost unreadable. (Would be awesome if there was a way to get rid of the highlighted box around the text.)

    additionally it would be nice to change the terminology from commencing to something else but making it readable is first priority for me

    In regards to the word, “commmencing,” you could feasibly update the string using the WordPress translation system to the word you prefer.

    Rather not actually. The site isn’t public yet but I found this support thread that someone had a similar issue.. Not sure how exactly this was fixed but it seems it isn’t just on my end.

    Sorry for the delayed reply. It’s the holiday week and we had family in town so I was unable to respond.

    Looks like Tony Hayes didn’t get back to you here, but the fix he provided on that link you posted should do the trick. We you able to resolve with that code snippet?
