I set up NinjaFirewall in full mode on my website, where I also use Yoast’s Duplicate Post plugin. This plugin has a nice feature, where you can create a clone of a post, modify it, and, once ready, republish this post at the original URL. Even better, you can schedule this republish. And this is the point, where my issue with NinjaFirewall comes into play.

NinjaFirewall blocks this automated republish with the reason “unauthenticated user attempt to edit a published post” and the User IP: 127.0.0.1.

In addition I get an email (subject: blocked post/page edition attempt) and an attached php backtrace log, where I can see how from wp-cron at the exact time the post was scheduled, its creation was blocked. On the other hand, I checked the site afterwards: The post was republished and I see the (legitimate) changes where I expected them to soo.

How should I deal with this email/notification? What rule/setting do I need to activate/deactivate to not get this kind of disturbing email?

    Thank you!

You would need to disable the “NinjaFirewall > Firewall Policies > WordPress > Permissions > Block attempts to publish, edit or delete a published post by users who do not have the right capabilities” policy.
