Change user role for directory members

  • We have a site that has a practitioner directory as well as a separate membership/subscribership and we want to keep these separate. So we want to use the Subscriber role for the membership and add a new role, Practitioner, to use for the directory. Just trying to figure out if there’s a way to assign that role to the directory members, and where that would be?

    Thanks for your question. Business Directory Plugin uses the subscriber role by default, so I wouldn’t recommend changing that. If you are changing other roles, perhaps you can assign something else to your other users. There is no setting to change what WordPress role is used for the directory, unfortunately.
