    Hello Mike,

it’s me again – and I gladly accept your friendly offer of help ??

I have now tried to update the existing version 1.0.6 to 2.2.4 on my actual domain – unfortunately with little success.

The direct update in WP-Backend in the plugin administration did not work. After the update, the layout of version 2.2.4 is displayed in the frontend, but the calendar does not contain any data.

So I uninstalled version 2.2.4 and also deleted the Sugar Calendar tables wp_sc_events and wp_sc_eventmeta in phpMyAdmin to set everything up from scratch.

Then I completely reinstalled version 2.2.4, which logically cannot yet contain any data. Then I created a first data set for 01.01.24, selected my calendar “A-I-K-Kalender” as the calendar in the separate “Calendar” box and entered the forwarding (see screenshot1). Finally saved and published.

However, after clicking on “Publish”, the start and end dates are deleted in the day-related form and “All-day” is deactivated (see screenshot2). The published event is also not listed in the calendar management of the backend (Events tab) (see screenshot3), and there is also no entry for the date in question in the frontend calendar.

But: Somehow something seems to have been saved, which can be recognised by two features:

    1) When I click on the “Calendars” tab, I see that my calendar already has 3 entries (see screenshot4). If I now click on the “3”, however, none is displayed in the “Events” tab (see screenshot3 above).

    2) The created event also appears in the wp_posts table (see screenshot5)

So something must have been saved by creating an event, but nothing appears in the frontend calendar for the date in question and nothing appears in the backend either.

I also find it irritating that the tables wp_sc_events and wp_sc_eventmeta were not created again when the plugin wasnew installed. Does Sugar Calendar now only save in the wp_posts table?

How can I get the calendar to work? I have done the usual (deactivating all other plugins), but this has not led to any change.

If it helps, I’ll link to the site’s health report.

And you can view the empty calendar ?? of course.

Perhaps there is another solution that would also make it unnecessary to re-enter all the events existing in the old calendar: The jump from version 1.0.6 to 2.2.4 was apparently too big (see above). Presumably, however, there is a version in between with which version 1.0.6 is still compatible and version 2.2.4 is already compatible, e.g. 1.5.3 or similar. Then I could first update to this and then from this to 2.2.4 …

    Many thanks and kind regards
