Conflict with Yoast SEO and Classic Editor

I’m trying to update a meta description for a client’s site in the yoast SEO search appearance settings in the page editor, but when adding some text in the Meta Description field, the fields in the SEO settings disappears and only show a “Something went wrong. Please reload the page.” error. This only happens if the Accessibility Checker and Classic Editor is both active, I didn’t encounter this error when the classic editor is deactivated.

The site uses the Classic Editor from the Divi Theme settings
