    Hello,

After the update of WOO to 8.50 we have a fatal error, below the error:

An error of type E_ERROR was detected on line 247 of file /wp-content/plugins/flexible-checkout-fields/classes/plugin.php. Error code: Uncaught Error: Cannot unset string offsets in /wp-content/plugins/flexible-checkout-fields/classes/plugin.php:247

  • I also have this error after upgrading to WooCommerce 8.5, just so you know it’s not only affecting one person.

    Hello,

Got the same errors on the websites I manage. Dropping a message to know when there is a solution.

    same problem with woo 8.5

    same problem with woo

Same problem. Hoping it gets solved soon!

Same here. I had to disable it in my client’s website, but honestly, been too long I have set it up I don’t even remember what have I changed with the plugin. Neither does the store owner knows what customization was done.

    Hi,

Currently, WooCommerce in the latest version causes errors on different themes and with different plugins. I encourage you to downgrade to version 8.4 as this version resolves these issues.

There are plenty of reports on the WooCommerce support forum regarding this topic: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/woocommerce/

Same issue. I have deactivated the plugin temporarily from my clients’ websites. I hope updates will be released asap, for this plugin and/or for WooCommerce.

Same issue to me with up to 5 e-shops !!! Developers must fix the plugin to be compatible with woo 8.5

    Hey @dominikl65,

Updated more than 10 websites and we didn’t face any issues with WOO 8.50 or with any other plugin.

4 websites that are using your plugin had a fatal error.

I think all developers have to solve the issues and be compatible with the new version, and not WOO.

    Thank you

    Same problem here!

    Hi,

The problems are strictly related to version 8.5 of WooCommerce. The version was so flawed that WooCommerce has officially rollback it, and the current version is now 8.4.

More information can be found on the official WooCommerce developers’ blog: https://developer.woo.com/2024/01/09/woocommerce-8-5-0-released/

I didn’t had an issue with other plugins after WooCommerce update. I installed another plugin to customize the checkout fields and the site is working great. Problem is solved on my end, sorry to say, there are plenty checkout fields customizers out there.

    Hello,

Today, WooCommerce is planning to release version 8.5.1, which should already fix version 8.5 bugs.

More information on the planned WooCommerce update can be found here: https://developer.woo.com/2024/01/11/update-on-the-woocommerce-8-5-known-issue/

    Hi,

We are working on this problem. We won’t wait for a fix from WooCommerce. Furthermore, we will simply release a fix as soon as possible that works with the latest version of WooCommerce. Until then, I encourage you to downgrade WooCommerce to version 8.4.0.

I’ll keep you posted on the update.
