    Hello,

I’d like to block access to the calendar / event / archive of the event calendar plugin for non-logged-in users, but I can’t do it.
I was thinking of using the post type but I can’t, there’s no suggestion in the list. And I don’t know the IDs.
Also, I’ve added rules to restrict locations, organizers and archives in your rules but that doesn’t work either.
Do you have any idea how to do this?

    Hi @shiw06,

When you search for “event” in the protection field, do you see these?

If you don’t see event post types, there might be other issues at play.

Could you show us how your restrictions are set up currently? You can send us a recording or a screenshot.

If you wish to send it privately, please send us a message at Contact – Code Atlantic

We’ll wait for your message. ??

    Hello,
    Thank you for your reply.
I’ve just corrected the problem but the calendar still displays a blank page and the events send to a 404 page.
    Is this normal?
by default I have chosen to send to the login page or to hide the items in the archive pages.

    Best regards

    Hi @shiw06,

    Thanks for the update.

Could you send a screenshot/recording of your full restriction settings?

Also if you have any caching plugins, purge your cache after creating new restrictions.

You can also send us a message via Contact – Code Atlantic if you want to share more information privately.

    We’ll wait for your message!

    Hi @shiw06,

Thanks for sending over the video.

It looks like you have a lot of restriction rules added. Any of them could cause the issue.

Could you try adding the restrictions one by one, saving them each time, and testing to see at which rule it starts to cause the issue?

Let us know how it goes. ??

The problem occurs when I add the rule: Content Is A Event Archive
Otherwise the events page is not blocked
But with this rule I have a blank page, which is better than nothing.

    Hi @shiw06,

    Thanks for the update!

We were able to reproduce the issue when trying to restrict the Events Archive.

I’ll forward this to our development team so they can take a look.

We’ll let you know once we receive feedback.

    We appreciate your patience! ??

@shiw06)- patch coming in v2.2.5. Seems they had code in place to prevent redirects for some reason, had to add some overloads to make sure the redirect occurred..

To be clear this issue only occurs with redirect protection. Should be fixed now.

Also tracking an issue with searching for events by name, they use Custom Post Types for events, but don’t disallow the typical REST API method of searching for them. Need to find way to point our post type fields towards their data in these scenarios (probably not the only plugin doing this).

Marking resolved as the initial issue seems to be resolved in this patch.
