    Hi guys,

Using a freshly installed WordPress 6.4.2 and latest Blocksy (2.0.17) and Woocommerce (8.4.0) I am having some issues with partial Hungarian translations on the cart and check-out page.

I have tried Loco Translate to translate the theme and woocommerce, but in the translation files everything seems to be translated already, yet the English phrases show up. I’ve tried searching in the theme files manually as well, but I haven’t found anything there. According to Blocksy, this is not a Blocksy related issue: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/blocksy-with-woocommerce-partial-translation-on-cart-check-out-pages/

I’ve uploaded a few images to highlight the phrases not translated. Could you advise on where to look for these phrases to translate them? I’d be happy to manually edit these, if I just knew where they were coming from :’)

    Than you in advance!

@fledgling42 did you try testing with default WooCommerce theme? Maybe your custom theme did not translate, for example wp-block-woocommerce-empty-cart-block …?

Yes, they’ve mentioned something similar in their forum — “From what I can see, you’re using the new WooCommerce cart and checkout blocks, which are solely controlled by them. The translations are managed in their project, most likely in their WooCommerce Blocks page –??https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-gutenberg-products-block/

My question is, therefore, how do I manually translate these blocks?
    Thank you so much!

    Hello fledgling42,

Thank you for reaching out to WooCommerce support.

I understand you are experiencing issues with the Hungarian translations on the cart and checkout pages, despite having a fresh installation of WordPress, Blocksy, and WooCommerce with their latest versions.

When it comes to translating WooCommerce, it’s important to note that WooCommerce Blocks cannot be translated in the same manner as the default WooCommerce templates. This could potentially be one reason why you’re seeing incomplete translations.

Regarding the Hungarian translations for WooCommerce Blocks, it is currently at a 2% completion rate. If you are keen on improving the availability of translations for yourself and other Hungarian merchants, your contributions would be very much welcome and appreciated. You can participate in the translation efforts by visiting?https://translate.www.ads-software.com/locale/hu/default/wp-plugins/woo-gutenberg-products-block.

In the meantime, for a temporary workaround while translation progresses are being made, you may opt to use the classic [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode. This should revert the cart and checkout pages to the traditional layout, which may have better support for the existing translation files you’ve worked on with Loco Translate.

Should you require further assistance or have additional questions regarding this matter, please feel free to let us know. We’re here to support you every step of the way. ??

    Best regards.

@doublezed2, did you ever try translating the Projects translated to Hungarian < GlotPress | www.ads-software.com using Deepl and ChatGPT help? It could generate initial translation that could be then improved later based on trial/error?

    For example, 5 translations:

    • Collection Attribute Filter –> Gy?jtemény attribútum sz?r?
    • Automatically adjust the number of columns to better fit smaller screens. –> Automatikusan beállítja az oszlopok számát, hogy jobban illeszkedjen a kisebb képerny?kh?z.
    • Responsive –> érzékeny
    • Filter by Stock status –> Sz?rés készletállapot szerint
    • attribute –> attribútum

Thanks @doublezed2 , that is a great workaround! Can I ask you a quick question about configuring the CSS for this old layout?

If you add a product that is not free (https://tanariszoba.hu/uzlet/) and go to checkout (https://tanariszoba.hu/penztar/), the credit card box is not translated completely, and has a suuuper tiny font size, which cannot be overwritten with custom css.

    Any suggestions on fixing this?

My custom CSS is as follows (and works for the left side form, but is not able to override the credit card box things):

    Thank you!

I think you should check Stripe for this, as this is part of the Stripe iframe

    Hi there @fledgling42 ??

    Any suggestions on fixing this?

I went ahead with investigating the source code of the page at https://tanariszoba.hu/penztar/, and it appears WooPayments is utilized for Card Payments.

Feel free to go through the official documentation on customization and translation, linked here, for your convenience.

has a suuuper tiny font size, which cannot be overwritten with custom css.

Just wondering if you already have a chance to test with temporarily activating the Storefront theme (linked here), for example, and see if the font size remains as such, or otherwise?

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
