Excellent plugin but one issue that I have spent the last hour searching for answers that I cannot resolve.

Links in the popup window, how do we get those to work? I have a link to a web page in the popup, but it just generates a blank page, ideally I would like the popup to close and the link open in the main window, but also happy for it to open a new window. I can’t get anything to work?

Is this a function of the paid plan, as its such a simple request I though there would be simple link functionality in the popup window.

    Please let me know?

    Regards
    KEVIN

  • Hi @kairey1964,

Sure, I will be happy to assist you in resolving your issue with the links within the popup.

When I checked your site, I found the popup was working as expected with a delayed update with iframe loading. However, your added iframe was generating too many errors in the console while rendering the page.

I also found that your site has LiteSpeed Cache enabled.

Could you please confirm if you have enabled CSS Minify & CSS Combine? And JS Minify & JS Combine with Load JS Deferred?

You will have to disable all of them and clear your site cache to confirm if this is interrupting the popup iframe.

For your information, Popups for Divi is a lite version of Divi Areas Pro and comes with limited support for dynamic elements, including iframes.

If the issue persists, you can switch to Divi Areas Pro. It gives you more flexibility in terms of managing the popup and further comes with different layouts, behaviors, triggers, and integrations, including popup scheduling as well as supporting dynamic elements and iframes.

It also has a 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee, so you can explore the features and functions and accordingly choose the suitable ones for your website. And with priority support, we are always available to assist you in resolving your issue.

I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to ask any further questions. Thank you.

Thanks, never got a notification of a reply so just checking back and found your prompt response, sorry.

In principal everything works despite the errors you see with the IFrame.

The main issue is that in a text module above the iFrame/code module a link in the text does not work, its just opens a blank page?

    Is this a limitation?

FYI CSS minify and combine is not enabled.

    Hi @kairey1964,

    I completely understand, no problem.

Regarding the issue with iframe, Popups for Divi, being a lite version, has limited support for dynamic content within the popup.

You can switch to Divi Areas Pro. It allows you to create global popups and comes with multiple features, area behavior, area conditions, and integrations. And further supports most of the dynamic elements/contents, including iframes, within the popup.

I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to ask any further questions. Thank you.
