I am currently using Advanced Google reCAPTCHA v1.17 on my WordPress site. I have been posting to WordPress via XML-RPC from the Web/iOS application Journey (journey.cloud). However, once I activated Advanced Google reCAPTCHA, I found myself unable to post.

Even after disabling Captcha in the Advanced Google reCAPTCHA settings, the issue persisted. It was only resolved by deactivating the Advanced Google reCAPTCHA plugin entirely.

It appears that Advanced Google reCAPTCHA is preventing the use of XML-RPC. Will this be addressed as a bug and resolved?

    Hi,

Yes, external services that require authentication with a username/password would not work as they would not be able to also provide the captcha challenge response.

XML-RPC is considered outdated anyway and has been replaced by the WordPress REST API anyway.
