To begin with, it appears that the website in question (manford.co.id) is not built on WordPress. Consequently, it is expected that accessing the wp-admin may not be possible.
While I acknowledge the possibility of error, upon inspection, I did not identify any elements related to WordPress on your website.
The domain you gave have has a Versel site.
Versel only hosts static sites, they cannot host a WordPress site at all.
So what’s your real WordPress site address?
Hi, thanks for the reply.
Sorry I forgot I have recently changed the nameservers of the domain. It has been changed back. Please give it a few moments to propagate.
Very sorry about this
tried to update wordpress but now i cannot access the wordpress admin dashboard entirely.
If you tried to log in with the nameservers changed to serve the Versel site, then, of course, the login will not work because there’s no WordPress at all.
With the nameservers pointed back to the WordPress server, are you still unable to log in?
I can see the login form alright: https://www.manford.co.id/wp-login.php
yes it automatically gives me 403 forbidden error. Like any links (e.g. wp-admin/plugins) then relates to the dashboard will redirect me to the “update link” (some complex link, will paste here what I get when the dns propagates properly) for some reason.
i’ll update here when it propagates completely. We need to be on the same page (no pun intended) if I’m going to be able to help you.
yes it automatically gives me 403 forbidden error.
Does licking the above login link immediately give you the 403 error?
If not, at what point do you get the error? Upon submitting the login form? Or do you get to the dashboard and only see the 403 after clicking any of the dashboard menu items?
If you see the WordPress login form, then the problem shouldn’t be DNS-related.
yes it immediately gives me the 403 error without any chance of seeing the login page, just immediately redirects. I’ve tried using incognito mode and it does the same thing.
I see the login form, screenshot below.
I’m curious: is the 403 response you’re seeing coming from your WordPress server (IP address
148.163.126.XX
) or is it coming from Versel? You can use the network tab of your browser’s developer toolbar to check this.Okay so ./wp-admin redirects to
https://www.manford.co.id/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F
i tried manually typing in directory wp-login.php and it takes me to the login page.
but then when i successfully login it redirects me back to the link
https://www.manford.co.id/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F
what do u think caused this?
It seems the WordPress database needs a push-up.
Are you able to perform the upgrade? Or is there some error message there?
When I visit
/wp-admin/
, I’m redirected to the same “upgrade” screen. I see403: Forbidden
… but that’s to be expected since I’m not logged in and shouldn’t be able to update your database.Yeah see that’s the thing, i’m logged in as wp-admin but i’m getting the supposedly same message screen as you. Even last time when I was still able to login to admin dashboard, some directories are “403 forbidden” for me (wp-admin)
So no i’m not able to perform the upgrade, I tried doing the upgrade this morning, then it leads me to 403 forbidden. And since then I was never able to access the admin dashboard since it keeps redirecting me there whenever i try to refresh the page or go back to login page.
Thanks for the update and clarification.
When I try to access the public website, I get a WordPress error message “There has been a critical error on this website.” with a
500
HTTP response code.Perhaps the two issues are related. It’s likely one of your plugins or perhaps your active theme is broken under the current version of WordPress or PHP. But what exactly?
1) OPTION 1: You can disable ALL plugins and your active theme [*], leaving only WordPress running. If this problem is a plugin or the theme, you should then be able to access your dashboard — and re-install the add-ons one after the other until you find the culprit.
[*] Use your cPanel File Manager:
— Go to
public_html/wp-content/
and rename the plugins folder. This should disable all plugins (except “must use” plugins, if any)— Go to
public_html/wp-content/themes/
, find the folder for your active theme, and rename it. This should disable the active theme.2) OPTION 2: Alternatively, you can enable WordPress debugging by adding this line to your wp-config.php file.
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
This should (hopefully) shed more light on exactly what’s causing the problem… so can zero-on on that.
Standing by for feedback!
wp-admin does not exist apparently in this wordpress. Also public_html for some reason only has 4kb size which is weird. And I also have added that code inside wp-config. But the wp-config.php is inside trash directory for some reason and there’s none inside other directories.

Ignore the directory size displayed. That’s a cPanel thing: all folders will show as 4KB irrespective of what’s in the folder.
And your screenshot shows you searched for
wp_content
, and notwp-content
. Perhaps you made the same mistake when searching for thewp-admin
folder?Can you actually open the
public_html
folder? What’s inside this folder? There should be at least one file name
readme.html
— the WordPress Read Me file — because I can access the URL here: https://www.manford.co.id/readme.htmlPS: Please when sharing a screenshot, don’t crop off the browser’s top address bar or the cPanel File Manager’s left navigation pane. These have essential clues to help me know exactly what screen you’re looking at. For instance, I have no idea what directly contains the second screenshot you provided. Is this the content of the
.trash
? Or something else?https://www.veed.io/view/f0cf3ef8-85fd-497a-a77a-ff455a6b0fe4?panel=share
Here is a recording of the files in my file manager
