Language switcher displays default item

Hi, I’m using the polylang plugin and the language switcher widget along with it, and I’m having issues with the switcher. When I switch to another language, the dropdown displays the new language, but when you go to another page, the dropdown reverts back to default (the first item). It would be nice if the menu would display the new language at all pages.
