Site Kit not inserting GA4 Code Snippet

    Hello, hopefully someone can help me. I setup a new GA4 property and installed Site Kit on my site. In the dashboard it says that the GA4 snippet is inserted but when inspecting the code, checking in Tag Assistant and testing my site URL in the Installation Instructions for GA4, the Google Tag isn’t detected.

    I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, I have everything setup in their default settings and this is a fresh install. I’ve also made sure all caching is turned off so I can see real time updates.

    I should add that I’ve tried Resetting the Site Kit and uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin a few times. Everything says it’s connected properly but no code is being generated on the live site.

    I found the issue. In my wp-config this was set:
    define( ‘WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE’, ‘local’ );

    I changed it to production and now the tags are being generated properly.
