Gallery columns not working

    I have created a simple pod with a gallery field (File / Image / Video). I have set the options to upload multiple files and images only. Ticked the output as WP Gallery button and set 3 image columns with an gallery image size set as thumbnails. Created a template where I referred the pod and linked the name of the field between the { }. In the backend I have uploaded 10 pictures but when I open the page on the frontend I see the 10 pictures but they are not displayed in columns, they are just below each other. The theme I am currently using is the standard Twenty Twenty-Four theme. What am I doing wrong here?
