    Hi @wpadmi,

Currently, your site uses the ‘default’ banner as available in Complianz.

However, you will have to adopt a Google-certified CMP with TCF integration (such as available in Complianz Premium) in order to remain eligible to serve advertisements to users in the EEA and UK.

That’s why Google activated that banner automatically, as they couldn’t detect such an implementation on your site. Please find the following statement from Google attached on the subject:

Publishers and developers using Google AdSense, Ad Manager, or AdMob will be required to use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) that has been certified by Google and has integrated with the IAB’s Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) when serving ads to users in the European Economic Area or the UK.

In the Premium plugin, you would enable this option under Wizard > Consent > Services > Does your website use cookies for advertising? > Choose the appropriate frameworks > “Enable TCF & Google CMP Certified Consent Management with support for Google Advertising Products”.

After enabling the option mentioned above, an “Advertising” section will also become available in the Wizard (under Wizard → Consent), so make sure to complete that as well (as this determines which Ad Vendors are eligible to serve ads on your site).

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi Jarno,
Thank you for your quick and clear response,

    so we need to:

    • purchase Complianz Premium
    • apply “Wizard > Consent > Services > Does your site use cookies for advertising? > Select the appropriate frameworks > “Enable TCF & Google CMP Certified Consent Management with support for Google Advertising Products”.

and after that the Google ads consent will not appear anymore, right?

    Hi @wpadmi,

That will indeed be the case, Google should no longer display their standard banner as soon as you enable any other (google-certified) CMP.

    Kind regards, Jarno
