    Hello,

I am encountering an issue with the “Google Language Translator” plugin on my WordPress site (https://www.jarc.or.jp/). After using the plugin for translating content, I’ve found that if I repeatedly use the browser’s back or forward buttons, the plugin occasionally fails to load correctly. I have also implemented the “Translate WordPress with GTranslate” plugin, which is suggested to be a newer version or alternative, and observed the same issue with it as well.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Translate content using the Google Language Translator plugin or the GTranslate plugin.
    2. Use the browser’s back or forward buttons several times.
    3. Observe that sometimes the plugin does not load as expected.

    Additional Information:

    • Browser: Google Chrome, Safari
    • Operating System: MacOS Sonoma
    • WordPress Version: 4.7.16
    • Plugin Version: 6.0.20

I have updated all plugins, themes, and WordPress to their latest versions. I am seeking advice or solutions to resolve this issue for both plugins. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    pilotzshimura

    Hi,

If you allow browser to cache the page it will not show the translations when you use forward/back buttons. You will need to disable browser caching, so when you press forward/back the page reloads, instead of showing up from memory.

If you use our paid version it will be fine: https://gtranslate.io/#pricing

    Thanks! ??

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your advice on disabling browser caching to resolve the issue with translations not showing when using the forward/back buttons. I have implemented the suggested changes, and I’m pleased to report that the symptoms have improved significantly. Your guidance was incredibly helpful.

Given the improvement and understanding the merits and demerits of disabling browser caching, I am now considering the possibility of upgrading to the paid version of your service. I recognize that the paid version offers additional features and benefits that could further enhance our site’s functionality and user experience.

I will review the pricing and features provided on the link you shared and seriously consider subscribing to one of your paid plans.

Thanks again for your prompt and effective support. ??

    Best regards,
