Problem with PHP versions

I use SportsPress 2.7.16 and SportsPress for Baseball 1.0.2 with WordPress 6.4.3. I noticed that when I change my server’s PHP version from 7.4.3 to 8.0 the ‘Games Behind’ statistic in my League Tables goes to 0 for all teams in all leagues. I tested this by reverting back from PHP 8.0 to 7.4.3 and the ‘Games Behind’ statistic reappeared correctly for all teams in all leagues.

Clearly this seems to be a problem either with SportsPress or with Sportspress for Baseball.

I there a way around this problem so that I can use a more up to date PHP version on my server?
