I have tested it with 200 individual feeds, or group them into only 5-6 imports. It always seems to only import 50% of the feeds. Meaning if I have 6 feeds, only the first 3 or so get updated via cron, but not the rest.

It works if I click the RUN NOW button.

The cron seems to run just fine and I cannot see any errors. It simply refuses to run the cron for the last 50% of the feeds, but works with the fist 50%.

    Hi @tiotrom,

    Thank you for using Feedzy!

The problem might come from the configuration made inside the import wizard. There is a setting that allows you to set a certain number of posts to be imported – https://vertis.d.pr/i/13nJdm. However, please note that if you enter a high number, you need to make sure that your configuration can support it, otherwise, your imports may fail.

    Best regards,

    Hi Andreea,

I have tried from 10 to 40 items pulled per task. Which is not much. Made no difference. Is there a way to see some logs from your plugin to see why it may fail? Or what else can I check?

I monitored the Feedzy cron. It seems to trigger and end ok. Here’s my test:

I have 6 feeds: News (with some 60 sources), Videos (with some 100 sources), Photography (around 15 sources), Interesting (some 30 sources), Illustrations (1 source), and VideoNeat (1 source).

    In that exact order.

If I trigger the Feedzy cron it can only do the first source, maxes out at around 380 seconds, and then it stops. The rest of the sources are not refreshed.

If I deactivate the News feed, and then trigger the Feedzy cron, it manages to finish the Videos feed. But again it stops, does not do the rest.

If I now deactivate the Videos feed it can do Photography and Interesting. But again stops. And so on.

I suspect it either has a timeout or a cap of how many sources it can check per cron task.

Let’s try to fix this please ??

Ok I reduced the number of pulling feeds even lower and for now it seems to work. I will monitor it. But I think it would be great if Feedzy could output some logs so we can know why it fails when it does.

Well I spoke too soon….this is not reliable. They stopped working. I think this is a serious bug/issue and I am available for any debugging you may need to do.

    Hey there @tiotrom,

    Thank you for your cooperation!

By default, Feedzy limits the number of imports that can be executed to the most recent 100. To increase this limit, please follow the steps provided in this doc – https://docs.themeisle.com/article/1835-how-to-increase-the-imports-limit-in-feedzy.

Let me know how it goes!

I did that but no luck… It is very unfortunate because I even wanted to buy the pro version for our website. We need this kind of plugin. And since it works perfectly fine when I click the RUN NOW for all of the feeds at once, I suspect it is a plugin limitation rather than a server limitation.

Please tell me where to go from here? What else can I check?

    Hi,

I saw you also reported this on Github https://github.com/Codeinwp/feedzy-rss-feeds/issues/883

Let us know if things work out now.

Yup. I am updating that Github issue and hopefully there will be a fix for it. Thanks!
