• Hi, I have used WPS Hide Login to change my default login URL, now every time I click on the uncanny toolkit login button, I get a 404. How can I change the default URL for the login page?

    Thanks,

    Hi @parms ,

In the settings for that module there is a field to choose the login page. Is that set correctly?

And to confirm, what’s happening is that users enter a username/password, then click the button to log in, and then they see a 404?

If that’s the case and they’re logged in, it sounds like the issue might be with a login redirect behaviour.

If I’m misunderstanding and this is before form submission, and you mean a login button somewhere to take the user to a login page, can you confirm what button you mean you’re using? Is it something from https://www.uncannyowl.com/knowledge-base/log-in-log-out-links/? If so, that tool looks for whatever WordPress recognizes as the login page.

    Hi @uncannyowl,

Thank you for the prompt response.

Yes it’s the second case. I’m using the Log In/Log Out Links widget and there is no settings button to change the URL that the button redirects to.

The Login button is redirecting them to the default login URL but I’ve hidden it using WPS Hide Login to prevent brute force attacks and now when users click on login, they get a 404 error.

    Any suggestions to fix this?

    Thank you,

    Parm
