Unsubscribe link for Jetpack subscriber emails

    A client received a complaint from a subscriber to her blog through the Jetpack plugin. The email received did not have a working unsubscribe link for the recipient to click on and unsubscribe. I am her designer and can’t find those settings in the Jetpack plugin to check them. We sent the subscriber the unsubscribe instructions found in the Jetpack help section (https://wordpress.com/support/subscribe-to-blogs/), but it didn’t work for them since they do not have a WordPress.com account. Can you tell us how to make sure this link is working and that it’s clear for a subscriber to unsubscribe in the email they receive?

    Hi there, @webcami,

    For emails sent through Jetpack subscriptions, the unsubscribe link should automatically be included at the bottom of each email.

    We recently introduced a change in the way we handle Newsletter subscribers, and email addresses with no WordPress.com account attached will get one.

    To confirm the setup and the status of the subscriber who experiences the issue, please log in to WordPress.com with the account that’s connected to your Jetpack site. Navigate to the ‘Subscribers’ section to confirm their subscriber details and manage their subscription settings.

    If they are indeed subscribed and the unsubscribe link is missing or not working, this may require a closer look. Could you please contact us via?contact form, mention this forum thread, and also share the email address that didn’t get the unsubscribe link in the email? If you have other examples of this, please share them away too.
