Is there a way to customize (e.g. via template files?) the RSS elements that are shown, if there is a uniform RSS element (say, like author, but something other than that) in the feed source that could be displayed, if there was such an option to show it?

To be more specific, in the RSS feed that the WP Job Manager plugin provides, the feed includes not just author data for job posts (e.g.
author-name-here
but other elements that would be helpful to pull in, such as these two:

    • <job_listing:location>location-here</job_listing:location>
    • <job_listing:job_type>job-type-here</job_listing:job_type>

Is there any way through settings or template customization that this plugin could display these additional elements?

@hastibe with items imported using the Feed to Post addon, you can map the extra details into custom fields (metafields) and since they are imported as standard WordPress posts, they can be displayed on the site by looping through the posts and showing them on your theme or using any plugin that allows for showing posts and post metafields on the frontend.
