    Hi guys,

Ok, so have a site on Go Daddy…when I made the site I, for some reason that made sense then, choose not to let wordpress categories the uploads in month and year sub folder within the upload folder.

And now I’ve had that for about 2 years…and NOW Go Daddy sends me a warning of suspension because I’ve have more then 1024 files in one folder!?

…first I just wanna add that that’s a ridiculous limit!!!

But, they have given me a few days to deal with the issue or they move it for me…but of course do nothing about all the broken images….and I can add that they also blocked the public access to the upload folder so NO images is showing on the site until I resolve this issue!

So, I got about 1800 uploaded images…so I need to move at least 800 of those and put them into a subfolder in uploads….

…is there any plugin or other way I then can change the urls to these images without doing it manually? …which I’m not gonna do and if that’s the case I’ll change hosting company on the spot!

    Any thoughts?

Honestly, I’d change hosting companies ASAP. That is a ridiculous limit, in fact the concept of such a limit is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, if you’d like to stay with GoDaddy, your only option would be to re-upload and manually re-link all of the files.

Yeah, I know, ridiculous would be an understatement!

…I’m already on the move, had enough of Go Daddy!
