Help! Need to move domains, keeps breaking

-Double check your wp-config.php file settings for the database and host names.

-Access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin and manually check, in the wp_options table, the siteurl and home values and make sure they are correct.

in the databse, should it stay as testsite.com or do i need to update those to be realsiteurl.com?

try changing to the one you had before this problem.

Note: make a backup of your DB before tweaking it.

I think i tried one of those fixes, but broke it ??
here are the sites. Just for clarification:

the working test site: https://www.jaredmoore.com/bca/

I need the domain name to be https://www.barrettsolutions.com

if you type in barrettsolutions.com, it will load the site since i changed the a record to point to my server. If you click on an internal page or any links, it loads my test site.

Is the fix you noted above the best solution? I’m assuming i update the database tables to remove jaredmoore.com/bca and update it to be barrettsolutions.com? Thanks for your help!

at present, does the URL in the DB matches with barrettsolutions.com?

No, currently the database has jaredmoore.com/bca

tried to update it to be barrettsolutions.com and it broke the site.

did you also check the home value if its correct?

IT WORKED! thank you so much for the help.

One side note for anyone else that might have this issue, removing the .htaccess file via ftp also fixed it after upadting the database. I then re-saved my permalinks in the admin which then created a new, working .htaccess file.
