Slows down my shared hosting server after upgrade to PHP 8.2

    Hello, for about two months now I can’t use Docket Cache anymore on my website because it quickly slows down my shared hosting server until it becomes unresponsive.

    I have recently upgraded to PHP 8.2. Could this be the case? I haven’t changed any of the options in Docket Cache, which worked perfectly before upgrading to PHP 8.2.

    Are there some PHP extensions missing or maybe I have to disable/enable/change some options in Docket Cache? Should I increase the cache disk limit from 500MB to 1GB or 2GB? Please help!

    Hi there,

    Please follow these steps to start it from fresh:

    1. Uninstall Docket Cache
    2. Delete wp-content/cache/docket-cache
    3. Delete wp-content/docket-cache-data
    4. Install and activate Docket Cache

    Hi @nawawijamili

    Thank you so much for your help and quick reply. For now, I’ve increased the PHP memory limit to 512MB (the maximum allowed on my shared hosting) and enabled Real-time monitoring.

    Docket Cache didn’t crash my site anymore.

    I will keep monitoring this and if it crashes the site again I’ll proceed with your instructions. Thank you!
