Featured image only one size

    Hi there,
    It seems that featured images on post pages are not responsive at all, but pages where we use a cover image are. This seems unusual, and I’m not sure if I’m missing something here, but I thought that by default featured images would load in multiple sizes.

    If it’s because featured images are background images I’ve seen the post here: https://docs.themeisle.com/article/1232-why-background-images-arent-responsive and understand that, but what I’m not sure about is why when I’ve multiple images for various viewports the theme seems to insist on loading in only one, large, image rather than using an @media css element to load smaller images for viewports.

    I might well be missing something here, but I’m trying to work out how I can better serve relevant image sizes for my mobile visitors given that I have a range of automatically resized images that could be used for the featured image.

    Can you please share some screenshots where you indicate how the images are unresponsive, compared to your expectancies? It would help us better investigate the issue.

    If you look at the site here: https://www.fromebikeproject.org/ you can see the class “wp-block-cover__image-background” is only one size.

    By default the images on news posts are the same – one size – but I adjusted the theme to generate multiple background images. As they’re background images it was a giant pain to try and get them to act responsively.

    In order to achieve the desired behaviour, you would need to apply some custom code, which we can’t provide. You should look online for a solution or ask the community for help.
