I have found that cron is not working on this WooCommerce site. After troubleshooting, I found an error that said:

There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:

    Unexpected HTTP response code: 403

403 has to do with firewalls so I tried deactivating Defender and the error went away. I am sure that there is probably some setting that is causing this and I want to continue to use Defender, but I need corn to work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @earrame

I hope you are doing well today.

Defender does not have any feature which could block cron job. Can you ask in first place your hosting support was there any update?

Apart from that, I do not exclude that some of Defender feature could affect this, but in such scenario we will need more details to replicate this and confirm.

Can you check and let us know which correct cron job is blocked?

Also, can you install this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-crontrol/ and see if that will help to narrow down which cron job stops in case you will be not able to manually point it out.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

Thank you for your reply. What I notice when I have wp-control installed is that on the cron Events page, while Defender is active, the following error is displayed. When it is not active, there is no error:

There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:

    Unexpected HTTP response code: 403

When I disabled Defender, all the cron jobs that were pending, cleared and now there are none that are not complete. I will see what happens with Defender running for a couple days.
