    Hi @ all,

my website logo is a svg image. This image should be left-aligned on the upper left edge of the website. But it is not. Instead, it is a few pixels away from the left edge and about the same distance from the next object on the right.

The reason for this are dimension specifications (width=”391″ height=”101″), which EWWWIO adds to the SVG image as alt tags. I only noticed this by looking at the page source code. This is not the case on my staging site. There the SVG image lacks these alt tags and therefore the SVG fits perfectly left-aligned. As intended by the theme.

I guess it’s because of the options “Add missing image dimensions” (in German “Fehlende Bildabmessungen hinzufügen”) or “Remove Metadata”. I played with both options on my staging site (on/off), which had the same effect as on my live site: the SVG was no longer left-aligned because dimensions were added to it via alt-tag.

However, I can no longer undo this. Regardless of whether I switch the two options on or off, the SVG image is always inserted incorrectly into the website, i.e. with spacing instead of without.

How do I undo this? And how can I prevent this from happening again? Is it possible to protect SVGs from being manipulated by EWWWIO?

I would like to use the two options mentioned above for the JPGs and Webp images, so deactivating is not really an option.

    Thanks for your help! ??

    Hi The-Dude,

I think we need to look a little more in-depth into this. Can you contact us directly at https://ewww.io/contact-us/?

When you do so, can you share the system info from the support tab of the plugin settings?
