We got hit with hundreds of spam forms over the night.

Is there a way to auto block IP if a user submits multiple contact forms?

    Hi @goodermarketing,

I feel that any Rate Limiting settings that are made stricter to effectively limit submissions will be too restrictive for general visitors clicking around your site. You could try tightening them up slightly, but it may not be suitable. I would encourage adding a reCAPTCHA solution to the form to prevent bots from submitting it so frequently.

At present, Wordfence’s reCAPTCHA only supports WordPress and WooCommerce default login/registration forms. We are looking to potentially expand our compatibility, but it’s difficult to make allowances for all custom forms. You may be able to find a dedicated reCAPTCHA add-on if you’re using a form builder, or plugin if you’re using a totally custom form.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
